A Nod to Our Heritage
A design that pays homage to our legacy is at the heart of our new identity. The logo prominently features the iconic clock tower of the historic Cabarrus County Courthouse, a symbol of our community’s history and resilience. Much like the Historic Cabarrus Association, this landmark has stood the test of time. By incorporating this recognizable element overlaid on the shape of Cabarrus County, we aim to connect the entire county’s past with our present, reminding everyone of the stories and traditions that have shaped our community.
Embracing Change
While we cherish our history, we also recognize the importance of evolution. Our new brand identity is not just a fresh look; it represents our commitment to adapting and growing in a rapidly changing world. As we move forward, we will continue to focus on our mission of preserving Cabarrus County’s history for future generations. This includes expanding our educational programs, enhancing community engagement, and fostering partnerships that strengthen our local heritage.
Justin Moore, a member of our Board of Directors and owner of the local creative agency Sublmnl, shared his thoughts on this transformation: “Our new brand identity is more than just a logo and new look; it’s a reflection of our commitment to the community and our dedication to preserving the rich history of Cabarrus County for future generations. We are excited to engage with our community in new and innovative ways as we progress through the branding process.”
A Bright Future Ahead
The Historic Cabarrus Association has always been dedicated to celebrating and preserving our community’s unique stories. We are excited to take this mission to new heights with our new brand identity. Our updated visual identity will help us reach a broader audience, allowing us to share the rich history of Cabarrus County with even more people. Engaging our community and encouraging participation in learning about our history can create a lasting impact on the area that will resonate for years to come.
Dr. Shanaee Bodrick, Historic Cabarrus Association’s Executive Director, said: “Historic Cabarrus Association has always been dedicated to preserving and sharing the rich history of Cabarrus County. As we step into this next chapter, we expand our mission beyond museum exhibits to include historic preservation efforts. Our first landmark site project marks a significant milestone in this evolution, reinforcing our commitment to safeguarding the past while engaging our community in new and meaningful ways. With the launch of our new website soon, we look forward to connecting with more people who share our passion for history and preservation.”
